Connect4Good Block 2 got off to a great start! On a cold winter’s Sunday a group of enthusiastic kids and their parents arrived at the Centre Of Ageing (COA) ready for a fun filled afternoon packed with activities and connecting with seniors.
Zumba instructor extraordinaire Siobhan Ferguson Zumba with Siobhán lead a lively Armchair Zumba class for young and old, quickly warming everyone up. Thanks Siobhan for once again generously donating your time.
Kids, parents and seniors learnt the art of floral arranging from Myrna Kangisser, with the array of stunning flowers and greenery very kindly donated by Tamara Pollack of Pearsons Florist. The kids made bouquets and wrote thoughtful notes which they gave to the Seniors at the tea party, featuring delicious cup cakes iced by the kids and baked by COA’s talented volunteer, Sonya. Kids, parents and seniors chatted and enjoyed each other’s company at this great program that truly brought a smile to the faces of both old and young.
Siobhan, Myrna and Tamara – thank you for helping to make this a wonderful program for 3 generations of engaged participants, all connecting for good!
