Our Cook4Good school holiday program was a huge success with 55 volunteers from 19 different schools giving up their time to make and deliver over 400 meals to people and shelters across 22 Sydney suburbs.
Behind these numbers are real stories, real people and a real need. We are so grateful that you gave up your time to show people that you care. Food is an incredible connector, and that human connection is crucial.
Nicole, who participated with Ruby, 10 and Lila, 8 reflected:
“I think it is very meaningful for children to take part in activities that promote helping others. One of the meals we delivered today was really close to home and almost on the doorstep of Lila’s school, so it really highlights the fact that there are people in need in all of our local communities and that we can also easily lend a helping hand.”
These schools should be proud of their students for using their holidays so generously: #StThereseMascot, Moriah College, #AllambieHeightsPS, #WahroongaPS, Kinma School, McCallums Hill Public School, Ashbury Public School P&C, #StMarysPrimarySchoolNorthSydney, Loreto Kirribilli, Saint Ignatius’ College, Riverview, Wilkins Public P&C, #EmanuelSchool #KillarneyHeightsPS, Ravenswood School for Girls – Official Site, #SouthCoogeePS, #InternationalFootballSchool, Mount Sinai College Community, #StThomasMore
Many thanks to Waverley Council for your generous support in running this program.
