Whenever we design programs, we ask our charity partners, “What do you need? What can we do for you?” This ensures that our volunteering is always meaningful, as well as being hands on. Clothes4Good at Thread Together‘s pop up shop is a great example of this; our volunteers unpacked, organised and hung clothes in the shop to prepare for a large event where hundreds of people in need will attend to choose clothes that they might not otherwise have access to.
The hard work of our volunteers enables people to visit a well organised, fully stocked shop and allows Thread Together to help as many people as possible.
