Sew4Good – age 5yrs+ AND Scones4Good – age 8yrs+

SEW4GOOD – age 5yrs+
Your kids will learn sewing skills while creating a soft toy for children living in shelters.
Sew4Good enables kids to make a difference while learning to sew a soft toy. Under the expert guidance of Trixi Symonds, founder of Sew a Softie, kids will enjoy making soft toys which will then be donated to a child living in a Shelter with their mother as a result of domestic violence. A representative from Women’s Community Shelters ‘will be present to accept the donations and thank the kids for their time and generosity.

Date: Wednesday 27th September
Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
Cost: $40 per child, age 5years+ (incl GST, credit card fees) and entry for attending adult

What is Sew a Softie? Sew a Softie is an initiative that aims to ignite a love of hand sewing in a new generation. It encourages parents and children to turn off their computers, put down their smart phones and discover the fun and fulfillment that comes from creating a simple-to-sew softie together.

SCONES4GOOD – age 8yrs+
A meaningful morning-tea with the elderly community
Scones4Good is a great opportunity for kids to form intergenerational relationships with members of the elderly community. This program includes scone assembly, armchair Zumba, interaction with elderly people and a tea party!

This heart-warming activity will encourage young kids to connect with the elderly community in a fun and meaningful way. Scones4Good is a highly interactive experience that brings huge smiles to participants of all generations!
