“Cook4Good was amazing. To be able to do something like this with my daughter, to give her the responsibility and awareness of others’ needs, to see others volunteering their time and to actually see the homes and faces of the recipients was a privilege. I’d highly recommend this to any family.” These words from Jee who attended yesterday’s program with her daughter, Mia, 11.
Our first Community Cook4Good of 2018 was incredible with 55 participants attending from suburbs as far as Berowra, Gymea, Roselands and everywhere in between! The group worked together to make and package over 350 meals and then deliver them to people in need across 36 locations in Sydney.
An impressive 20 different schools were represented: Reddam House, Loreto Kirribilli, Holy Cross Woollahra, Neutral Bay PS, Berowra PS, Gosford High, St Mary’s North Sydney, Maroubra Bay Public School, Saint Ignatius’ College, Riverview, Newington College, PLC Sydney, Barker College, Rose Bay PS, McCallums Hill Public School, Killara High School, OLSH College Kensington, Marcellin College Randwick, and Gymea North PS.
