Friendship Pies lead the way at Cook4Dignity – letting recipients know that people genuinely care

Our first ever Cook4Dignity had 48 amazing kids and parents making delicious meals for clients of Dignity who are living in crisis and experiencing homelessness. Dignity’s emergency accommodation, is, at least for now, their home. This is the first of many more Cook4Dignity programs to come.

Dignity’s Facebook post reflects their excitement: “What a fabulous day we had today with the launch of Cook4Dignity a monthly event organised and run by Kids Giving Back! These amazing kids along with their wonderful parents cooked over 270 ‘Friendship Pies’ for us to distribute to our homes to be enjoyed by our guests. For our guests to know that these meals are prepared by volunteers from the community means so much, it makes them feel like they are not forgotten and people genuinely do care and that in itself gives them hope.”
