Thanks to the great group of kids who enthusiastically sorted, folded and packed a van full of new clothing at Thread Together. In just 2-hours the kids enabled 1,027 items of clothing (11 filled boxes) to be shipped to Adelaide where they are distributed by Thread Together partner Anglicare SA, bringing dignity to community members doing it tough.
In addition to all the busy hands-on work, kids and parents engaged in a Kids Giving Back educational session about homelessness in Australia, and learned about the work of Thread Together whose philosophy resonated all round: ‘When people are at their worst, they deserve the best’.
Thanks kids and parents for your assistance in helping make a difference to the lives of many. We look forward to seeing you at our next session on May 20 – get ready for an amazing environmental program as well as creating CarePacs for kids and mums escaping domestic violence.
