An incredibly busy day – our first full day school holiday program!!

Today we undertook an Anzac activity and reflected on the challenges faced by people who live through war.

A fantastic team of 30 kids baked Anzac Slice and other treats. These were made for veterans and the elderly in our community who have lived through many wars.

We prepared 40 gift bags for the veterans lunch and over 400 sweet treats in total for distribution (plus, bags of beautiful felt poppies were made for those not able to indulge in our treats!)

We finished off the afternoon by taking the rest of our baked treats to The Terraces Aged Care in Paddington where we spent time chatting to the lovely residents there.

So many smiles and lots of happiness generated by our visit.

Thank you to Paddo RSL for hosting us. Special thanks to Ross and Dave for embracing the idea!
