How do I contact you?

Can I see any of the volunteering opportunities without registering with you?

No, you will only have access to our volunteering opportunities once you have been approved by us and received the email notifying you of when you have access to our volunteering opportunities.

Why can’t I see any opportunities?

Duke of Ed – You will not see opportunities until we receive approval from your Duke of Ed leader. We email them once we receive your registration – that’s why it’s important to add your award leaders contact email address on your profile. Once approved, we’ll notify you when you have access to the volunteering opportunities.
Other Volunteers – Your registration will be processed by us within a few days, and we’ll notify you when you have access to the volunteering opportunities.

From what age can I start volunteering?

Once you turn 14 (or reach 13 years and 10 months), you’re welcome to join our Youth Changemakers Program. However, you can only choose volunteering opportunities that take place within the month you turn 14 or later.

What happens after I have submitted my registration?

Duke of Ed – once we receive your registration and you have provided your award leader’s details (email and name), we will email them to get their approval for you to commence your service journey with Kids Giving Back. Once their approval has been received, you will be granted access to our volunteering opportunities, and we will email you to let you know the opportunities are now available to view.
Other Volunteers – Your registration will be processed by us within a few days, and we’ll notify you when you have access to the volunteering opportunities.

What do I do once I receive the email advising me that my registration has been submitted?

Duke of Ed – Please wait 5-7 business days to receive another email advising when you have access to our volunteering opportunities. This occurs after we’ve received approval from your award leader. Sometimes it could take longer than this timeframe, depending on when your award leader gets back to us with approval for you to commence your service journey.
Other Volunteers – Your registration will be processed within 3 business days and then you’ll be notified when you have access to our volunteering opportunities.

How many days will I have to wait until my application has been processed.

Duke of Ed – 7 working days.
Other Volunteers – 3 working days.

Can I claim hours for programs I volunteer at if I am not yet 14 or registered with your Youth Changemakers?

Yes, you can claim up to 4.5 hours per month for a minimum period of three months for the bronze level. For example, if you participate in a School Holiday Program that runs for 6 hours, you can only record 4.5 hours for that month in your Online Record Book (which can be logged as a block of 4.5 hours). The difference in hours cannot be transferred to other months.

Can I get my documents signed by you for Duke of Ed?

There is no need for us to sign any documents before you register. We provide your award leader with all the details of the Kids Giving Back assessor.
