SUMMER PROGRAMS

BOOKINGS OPEN – 22nd November 2021

Our programs provide experiences for children and young people to give back to others, by undertaking activities that will assist the most vulnerable members of our community.

All children and young people participating in our Connect4Good program become part of the Kids Giving Back team. They work hard – benefiting from engaging in lots of activities and learning a lot of new information.

We encourage participants to bring plenty of snacks (nut free). Some programs have lunch provided but participants can bring lunch if they have dietary preferences as we are not able to cater for specific food requirements.

We ask that all children and young people wear closed-in shoes for health and safety, and that their hair is tied back if participating in a cooking experience day.
For intergenerational events we respectfully request all children be vaccinated for MMR (or advise us if not) and not experiencing any symptoms of an illness when they attend. This is to minimise risk to our elderly friends who often have vulnerable health.

Helping Hands for the Homeless
for School Students – Year 4 – Year 8 (age 8 – 14yrs)

Paddington  – 9:30am – 4:00pm

Prepare and cook meals and assemble other essential items for those experiencing homelessness and tough times. Participants will learn about the causes and impacts of homelessness and about the work of others in the community who support those most vulnerable. We will also have the opportunity to meet some of the inspirational people making a difference in the lives of the homeless everyday!

Please note that each program may be slightly different, as we structure each session around the needs of our charity partners.

Cook4Good for little people
for 6 – 8yrs (adults required to stay)

Paddington  – Various session times

Help us prepare easy meals for those experiencing homelessness and tough times. The meals will be donated to our charity partners who will distribute to their clients. The experience requires one adult to attend with their child/ren (max 3 kids per adult). This program is a great way to introduce your child to our Cook4Good program, empowering them to ‘give back’ in an age appropriate, meaningful way.
