We believe in nurturing a spirit of volunteering from a young age – and helping it grow into adulthood. That’s why we created the Youth Changemakers Program for teens aged 14–18.
The program empowers you to:
- Connect with like-minded peers and mentors
- Document your volunteer hours
- Develop leadership skills through hands-on experience
- Create lasting positive change
The community around volunteering surprised me the most as I found that group activities provided a better sense of connection and unity. It was also a way for me to meet new people and participate and contribute to a team.
I have met a large range of people who really open up my eyes to the situations of others and I believe this has helped develop my empathy for others and their circumstances.
I was really surprised about the range of people who needed assistance. It was really eye-opening to see all the places and areas where people needed help, I would not have known otherwise.
