13 May Spend Your Saturday Morning at Pocket City Farms!
Imagine spending your Saturday morning surrounded by greenery, growing food for your community and learning skills that connect you to the earth. Sounds pretty good, right?
We’ve partnered with Pocket City Farms in Camperdown, with our first session this Saturday 18 July and then every second Saturday from now on. We’d love to see you there!
What is Pocket City Farms?
Pocket City Farms is a community urban farm in the heart of Camperdown with a big vision: a world where all people are connected to regenerated environments and fair food. They’re doing incredible work educating the community about regenerative agriculture, permaculture, composting and water-saving techniques, and they need your help to keep it all growing.
What will you actually do?
Each Saturday morning session involves caring for the community food forest, planting, weeding, composting, propagating plants in the greenhouse and helping build a dense, nourishing space of free food for the community. Sessions are led by trained Pocket City Farms volunteers, and no two sessions are exactly the same.
Please note: YCMs under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
All the details you need are on the listing on the YCM app. Sign up there and follow the instructions to get started!
Happy farming 🙂
